Every season starts in September when new students come from abroad to study in Florence. Our best way to introduce them our organization is the famous ITALIAN APERITIVO. To us this means more than a free buffet offer in a pub/restaurant : it is the best way to meet new friends from different countries and spend a night together...... We usually meet up on Tuesday or Thursday. We have organized the aperitif at LOGGIA DEL GRANO (aka Uffizzi Center), at the disco Twice Club and at the Restaurant Tavern DIVINA COMMEDIA (near Piazza Signoria).

Usually our first trip with the students is the GRAPE HARVEST in the wonderful Tuscan hills scenario. How can an international student miss such a great appointment !!! In this trip we collect grapes, we have an original Tuscan lunch and last but not least: the wine tasting.

Another CdM's "must" is the Eurochocolate. As the noun suggests this is one of the most important European chocolate fair. It takes place in the middle of October in Perugia (150 km far from Florence). In the past editions (when have gathered more than 100 students) we have always enjoyed a lovely and warm autumnal Sunday.... and even when the sun didn't shine we warmed up with a delicious cup of hot chocolate !

As the autumn starts we'd like to bring the students back on the fields, in the heart of Tuscany. The OLIVE PICKING SUNDAY is another example of an alternative trip to taste one of the finest treasures of Tuscany: the Extra Vergine Olive Oil. In a farm located few kilometers away from Florence we usually spend the late morning in the fields picking up olives from trees. Before lunch the owner of the farm shows us the ancient oil press and how it works. As wage for the morning spent picking the olives the trip ends with a generous lunch opened with the classic "Bruschetta" (few drops of olive oil over a toasted slice of bread).

Halloween is usally the first party we organize in the fall semester. We have often cooperated with some clubs or pubs with great success and lof of fun for all the the people who joined us.

When Xmas comes most of the students leave Florence and spend their holidays at home. Cittadini del Mondo therefore organizes a Xmas Dinner Gala to celebrate the end of the first semester with the students who joined us in our activities.

In February, Cittadini del Mondo is honoured to participate at the Carnival.
Every year we have brought more than 50 people at the youngest and most coloured carnival we have in Italy. Viareggio's Carnival, situated on the western coast just 20 minutes far from Pisa, is our milestone in the spring-summer schedule.

As the season continues we organize other important events like the trip in Siena and San Gimignano, or the trip at the Calidario Spa in Populonia. One of our most popular event is the ITALY vs. REST OF THE WORLD soccer match where the CdM team challenges the international student teams to keep the possession of the WORLD CUP !!!!
In May we also organize a trip at the 5 TERRE in Liguria, one of the most romantic place on the italian riviera.
