This is the calendar of our appointments:
April 23rd "Travel in Literature" (6.30 pm at the “Edison” bookstore on Piazza della Repubblica)
May 21st “Two books following the thread of our historical memory” (5 pm, at the ‘Sala Ferri’ of Palazzo Strozzi, Florence)
June 14th "Writers on the Internet" (5 pm, at the tavern “Divina Commedia ”, on Via dei Cimatori 7r, Florence)
October 24th "Writers and poets in today’s Italy" (5 pm, at Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri, CLIDA, Piazza della Repubblica 5, Florence, 2nd floor)
November 22nd "Books on topical themes" (5 pm, at the tavern “Divina Commedia”, in Via dei Cimatori 7r, Florence)

The initiative "La penna del Magnifico”, promoted by the “Cittadini del Mondo” Association (www.cittadinidelmondo.net), with the participation of the literary blog “La poesia e lo spirito” and of the literary website “Domist.net – International Literary Project”, will consist of a series of meetings between writers and other operators of the cultural world and the students of the University of Florence, of Florentine high schools and of Florencebased schools for Foreigners.
Focused on topical themes of nowadays’ society, this new cultural proposal aims at recovering the central role of reading and writing, at a time when these activities apparently seem to have lost their importance.
The goal of the speeches and presentations of our guests, open to debate with the audience, will be that of raising people’s cultural curiosity, emphasizing literary works of particular relevance and offering both established and emerging authors an opportunity to express their ideas.
